Printmaking workshop series with Kay Watanabe
During this five-week workshop series at AFTM, Kay Watanabe covers low-toxic printmaking techniques such as monotype, linocut, collagraph and drypoint.
Participants who attend the workshop for the first time will learn and develop the linocut technique. Those who have attended Kay’s class before will choose the technique/s they work on during the course.
Kay, an award-winning printmaker and experienced workshop tutor, will try to accommodate each participant’s style and need. Her workshop is a small group with a maximum of 8 participants.
Most materials and tools will be provided. The AFTM studio is equipped with an etching press. Participants will learn how to print with the press as well as how to hand-print.
